ABSTRACT, PRESENTATIONS AND REGISTRATION
Abstract guidelines for the authors
The abstracts should be presented by researchers that carry out their studies in universities and research institutions located in the northwestern Iberian Peninsula, or by those whose scientific investigation focuses on fossil remains or sites from this region. Abstracts should have a length that does not exceed 250 words, and a maximum of 5 keywords should be indicated. The abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee, who could suggest some modifications to improve the scientific content of the abstract. Authors should consider them before the final acceptation. The accepted communications for the 1º Simposio de Paleontología del Noroeste Peninsular will be published in an abstract book with ISBN. In addition, if the authors are interested, the results presented in the 1º PaNOP can be published as an article in the journal “Cadernos do Laboratorio Xeolóxico de Laxe”.
Presentations and logo
Both poster and oral communications will be accepted in the 1º Simposio de Paleontología del Noroeste Peninsular.
Poster should be in portrait format, with a maximum size of 85 x 120 cm.
Oral communications should not exceed 15 minutes in duration, and should be delivered in ppt. or pdf. format.

The logo of this first edition of PaNOP – designed by Blanca Moncunill-Solé – shows some of the fossils from Galicia on which the most recent studies focus on, outlined by the geography of the region.
Registration and Fees
The 1º Simposio de Paleontología del Noroeste Peninsular will be totally free. However, the participants should register in order to know the total number of attendees, particularly important in the case that any sanitary restriction imposed by autonomic, national, or international regulations, restricts room capacities. It will also be possible to increase the capacity of the rooms using mirror classrooms. Attendees will be assigned following their registration order in case of restrictions.
